Children’s Ministries at Sycamore Baptist Church

At Sycamore, we believe that children are a gift from God, given to us to love, nurture, and train to become all that God wants them to become.  We provide a loving, safe, Christian atmosphere where our children will grow and mature in all areas of spiritual growth, social and emotional development, and physical and educational skills developed for his/her age level.

We believe that children should be given many different opportunities and ways to learn Bible truths and what God has planned for their lives.  We offer:

Sunday Mornings

Sunday school is offered for all age groups from 9:30 am – 10:20 am

Children’s Church during the morning service to reinforce Biblical lessons.  We have two classes, one for 3’s through 5 year olds, and Kindergarten through 3rd Grade.

Sunday Evenings

‘Lil KREW and KREW (Kids Really Enjoying Worship) is our children’s choir.  ‘Lil KREW is for kids age 4 years – Kindergarten, and meets from 6:00 – 6:30.  KREW is for 1st – 6th grade and meets from 6:30 – 7:30. 

Mission Friends offers an opportunity to learn more about missionaries in the United States as well as in other countries, and is for children age 3 through kindergarten during the evening worship service.

 

Wednesday Evenings

G-Force meets from 6:15 - 7:30.  This is an exciting program for 1st through 6th graders that combines Bible study and worship through the use of music, interactive games and large and small group activities.  Features include take-home study cards, prizes, and a weekly parent newsletter. 

For our preschool through kindergarten children, TeamKID is a fun, high-energy ministry that encourages kids to know Jesus Christ and grow in a relationship with Him.  All parts of TeamKID - Bible stories, Scripture memory, life application, missions, and recreation– connect to teach life lessons to kids. 
     
Special Events

In addition to these weekly ministries, there are several annual events for our children.  Some of these events are the Easter Egg Hunt, Vacation Bible School, camps in the summer for both boys and girls, and Trunk or Treat during the Halloween season.
